General set-up

Saumont Camping Park is flat, covered by lawns and surrounded by a wooden forest, showing a green scenery from spring to fall.

It is divided in small quarters, making it safe for children and quiet for those who like to enjoy tranquillity and privacy.

Services

2009 opening dates:

• Camping: du 1/05 au 26/09
• Bungalows: du 5/04 au 26/09

From mid-May to end of August, you will find:

• Bread and croissants every day, on order,
• Breakfast service,
• A basic grocery store,
• Ice creams,
• The friendly atmosphere of the Saumont's bar,
• The swimming pool, naturally heated by the sun, the temperature of which ranges from 25°C to 29°C, depending on the weather,
• A laundry, with 2 washing machines and a tumble dryer,
• Canoes and kayaks for hire, with the complete safety equipment.
• Pets welcome!

In July & August, you will have a choice of takeaway dishes, including home made Pizzas, roasted chicken, fresh French fries , salads...

In April and September, the services are reduced, but adjusted according to your wishes! A good moment for groups and individuals wishing a service "à la carte".

Pitches

The Saumont Camp-site is a small family run site, quiet and relaxed holiday park (you may have a look to the photo albums), set amidst beautiful countryside at only 5 kilometers far from the largest natural lake in France "Lac du Bourget".  

Set on a 4 ha piece of land, it includes 66 sites for tents, caravans, mobile-homes and motor homes, likely to suit any preference you may have:

• shade or sun,
• with electric hook-up (6 or 10 amps), and without,
• all sites delimited by natural hedges, except a few ones reserved to groups, cyclists and backpackers,
• all sites will assure your quietness, as they are set up at distance from the facilities,
• every mobile home is fully furnished, has a covered wooden terrace, include 2 bedrooms, a living room with a kitchen (fridge, gas heaters), separate bathroom and toilet.

The sanitary facilities, located next to the reception area, include:

• washbasins with hot & cold water for dishes,
• individual cabins: washbasins with hot & cold water and electric hook-ups,
• hot showers ,
• baby room with bathtub and changing table, the use of which is limited to families with babies,
• toilets,
• chemical toilet facilities,

Sanitary block is cleant on a regular basis , with a view to perfect cleanliness all day long. Toilet paper is provided to our guests.

Premises

The reception desk, bar and activity room are grouped together at the entrance of the campsite (you can miss us when arriving!).

Sports and leisure equipments, spread over the property, include:

• a swimming pool 8 x 15 m (shorts forbidden, swimsuit mandatory!),
• a large padding pool,
• 2 tennis courts (the only equipment subjet to a fee)
• 2 outdoor table tennis,
• Volley-ball,
• Badminton,
• Trampoline,
• Play ground for children aged 6 to 12,
• 2 outdoor tables ideal for cyclists and backpackers who carry limited equipment,
• In the main campsite room: billard, video games, baby-foot, library.

Please note that we do not provide nor hire: raquets, balls, swimsuits, etc...
